Karl's assistant AI

Before you start

You are talking to an AI assistant, not to Karl. It answers questions about stories ai notis has published and about Karl's work, from material Karl has approved. It can be wrong, and it cannot promise anything on Karl's behalf.

What is stored: what you write and what the assistant answers, until 30 days after the conversation's last message (90 days if a message is flagged for review), and the name Karl gave your invite and when you were last here, which he keeps until he removes you. E-mail addresses, phone, card, account and ID numbers are removed from messages before they are stored. Karl can read the conversations. Don't write anything you would not want him to see.

Where it goes: to produce and check each answer, your message and the material chosen for it are sent to Anthropic in the United States, which runs the AI model. Anthropic normally deletes it within 30 days and does not train on it; content Anthropic flags as breaking its usage policy can be kept for up to two years. Conversations are stored on Karl's server in Germany, with encrypted backups in Finland (both in the EU). Nothing is sent anywhere else.

Cookies: one cookie keeps you signed in here, and one remembers your language if you switch. No tracking, no ads.

Your rights: "Forget me" at the bottom of the chat deletes everything about you at once. A backup may hold it for up to about six months, and if one is ever restored, you are deleted again before the chat opens. Questions, or a copy of what is stored: ask Karl Magnus Horpestad, who is responsible, the way he invited you. You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
